“I can’t believe he’s doing this!” Aruna screeched over the phone.
“Well we’re both looking at it so apparently he is.” Laine intoned frustratingly calm.
“What did I ever do to him? These are all lies!” Aruna looked at the post in disbelief.
“Well you did dump him, but look Aru; no one even goes on this site anymore – besides they don’t believe anything Joey says.”
“Okay, whatever.” Aruna sighed heavily and sank back into her chair. “Thanks Laine. I’ll go blow off some steam on someone else now.”
“Well, don’t take it seriously. See you tomorrow.” Laine hung up.
Setting the phone down, Aruna turned back to the computer – changing the offending blog page for the IM sign in screen.
They had gone out for three months but that was a whole month ago and Aruna hadn’t heard anything from Joey since then. Now he was suddenly posting dirty lies about her on his page. She stabbed the Sign In button with the mouse. The dirty rat, the day she’d dumped him was a day of freedom but the backlash hadn’t come in the usual week. Why did he let it go so easy and then suddenly attack?!
